Blackrock Caverns is probably the first dungeon in Cataclysm you can have a quest and gain access to in the dungeon finder. The catch is you have to find the instance location first before you can even queue in the dungeon finder, which in turn a tricky location to find. The path going to the instance  is obscured by wooden boxes and seems to be blending with the wall going to the Upper & Lower Blackrock Spire.

When you enter the Blackrock Mountain (from Burning Steppes) you’ll enter the Molten Core, you have to go to the right to the summoning stone for the Blackrock Spire. Go inside the huge door beside it. Now you need to pay attention on where you are going or else you won’t see it. As you go inside the hall, check the your right side view, you’ll find a doorway. There you will see the violet instance entrance. That’s the Blackrock Caverns.

Another way of gaining access to the BRC is through a mole machine in Mount Hyjal. First you need to get the quest from Finkle Einhorn, he is standing on the ruins in the Circle of Cinders. He will give you This Can Only Mean One Thing…, then use the mole machine located just beside the ruins. It will port you directly in the cave where the Blackrock Caverns instance is located.
