During the Cataclysm, Darkshore was one of the hardest hit locations. The place was revamped to represent what happened and what transpired during the event. The location is targeted for alliance night elves and the new worgen races.

Auberdine was also pretty hard hit. Twilight Hammer cultists’ air elementals attack the town regularly. The surviving night elves settled in a new town Lor’danel, north of the ruins.

Another remarkable location was added in Darkshore, due to the devastation brought by the Cataclysm, a massive vortex was created in the center of the zone.

The Twilight’s Hammer cultists are intending to bring back to life the remains of one the servants of the Old Gods. New quests will be there to let players stop the incarnation of Soggoth before it gains full strength.

The Grove of the Ancients was fortunate to survive the Cataclysm. A group of ancient guardians have shielded it from devastation. Since an enormous amount of energy where spent to protect this place, the guardians have gone back to slumber. Quests will be there to let the players wake and summon them to fight once again for Darkshore.
