I’ve been plagued for some time with high latency rates while playing WoW under Windows 7, which somewhat by default delays some packets sent over the network. Here’s something to resolve it :
(Just a warning, the registry editor is a powerful tool that could help as well as crash your windows, don’t tinker with it if you don’t know what you are doing)
1. Open up the registry editor by running Regedit.exe
2. Go to the sub items under :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces]
3. There will be some sub-items with lots of numbers under it, click through those items and look particularly for the sub-item with the following entries :
AddressType, DhcpGatewayHardware, EnableDeadGWDetect,T1, T2 and the like.
4. Now under the registry editor menu, click EDIT, then NEW, then create two “DWORD (32-bit value)”. It will add new registry keys namely New Value #1 and New Value #2.
5. Rename New Value #1 and #2 to TCPAckFrequency and TCPNoDelay respectively.
6. Assign a value to the new registry keys by double-clicking the keys and set the Hexadecimal Value to 1
7. Restart and enjoy.

During the Cataclysm, Darkshore was one of the hardest hit locations. The place was revamped to represent what happened and what transpired during the event. The location is targeted for alliance night elves and the new worgen races.
Auberdine was also pretty hard hit. Twilight Hammer cultists’ air elementals attack the town regularly. The surviving night elves settled in a new town Lor’danel, north of the ruins.
Another remarkable location was added in Darkshore, due to the devastation brought by the Cataclysm, a massive vortex was created in the center of the zone.
