Enchanting is one of the most expensive professions to level up in World of Warcraft. Depending on the economy of your realm, some materials can be cheap, some are very expensive. But nevertheless, enchanting can create cool effects aside from the stats it can add to your armor and weapons. Weapon enchants can make your sword or axe glow, depending on the type of enchant you are putting on the item. Additional damage and ice damage gives off white glow, fire enchants can produce red. It’s just cool to look at.

When Blizzard introduced the Inscription profession, Enchanting became a more profitable profession because of Armor and Weapon vellums. You don’t need to shout and advertise yourself in cities that you do [Enchanting],  buy vellums created by Incriptionists from AH, put enchants into them and sell it back on AH, that simple.

Enchanting will only start being profitable in the later part of your journey. [Enchant: Greater This] or [Enchant: Exceptional That] into an Armor Vellum II and Weapon Vellum II can be sold in AH for a higher price. Take note the II, in my experience enchants that doesn’t require II or III vellums are often disregarded. People buy enchants that made with skill 350 and above. But don’t let this fact discourage you, there will always be someone who wants a glowing weapon even at low levels.

Enchanting goes with Tailoring, or Blacksmithing and Leatherworking (if you have an alt), you can disenchant the green and blue items you can create. But for me I’ve partnered it with Herbalism, since enchanting is expensive, I need herbs to sell in AH to sustain my expenses.

Keep an eye for mats used for making Enchanting Rods on AH, buy them whenever the prices are low. Prices for these items seems erratic and sometimes they are insanely expensive. Some realms have Golden Pearls for 25g, while another realm have Golden Pearls as high as 175g a piece. Buying enchanting rod mats ahead can save you time, effort and probably gold whenever you reach the skill that you may need them. You cannot skill up when you haven’t created the enchanting rod needed for a specific enchant.

Depending on the economy of your realms, prices can make or break your pocket.

Enchanting  Apprentice Leveling Guide 1-50

Train for Apprentice Enchanting, then make yourself a [Runed Copper Rod] (1 Copper Rod, 1 Strange Dust, 1 Lesser Magic Essence), you needed the enchanting rods as an enchanter basically.

Try to scavenge the Auction House, there should be a lot of low level green (Uncommon) items that are dirt cheap, bid or buy them. You can Disenchant them and get cheap mats as compared to buying the exact mats you need. Low level green items created by other players like armor and weapons are also usually cheap on AH. Players just sell it for the sake of selling it other than to the vendors.

1 to 50
Approx. 30-40 x [Enchant Bracer: Minor Health] (approximately 40 Strange Dust) plus the disenchants you will do.

Apprentice level is fairly easy to level up, just Disenchant Green items you can have. By doing so, you do two things at a time, leveling up your skill and at the same time receive strange dust or magic essence. Use these items to enchant your gear.
