How to tame Ban’thalos – Spirit Owl Beast
Ban’thalos is the Spirit Owl Beast found in the Sanctuary of Malorne. The challenge with him is that he flies very high, out of shooting range. You can fly up, shoot and tag him but you will surely lose half of your health to falling hard back to the ground. Ban’thalos will then shoot you with several Moonfire that does an average 26k arcane damage. Some may have successfully tamed him with dismount-shoot-fall-tame strategy, die a few times maybe.
This one I’m putting in this guide is much easier to do and the most cost effective way of not dying in the process. What I did was successfully land on a tip a tree by using a small flying mount which is much easier to see where you land. Be sure you can stand on it by pressing the down key, if your mount doesn’t do down anymore, that means you can stand on it.
When all goes well, fly up just enough to shoot Ban’thalos when he comes flying to your position. Be sure not to move away from your landing point or else you will fall a long way down. Just wait for Ban’thalos, his flight path will come into your range. Don’t forget to spec as Beastmaster too.
When he’s in range, dismount and shoot to tag him. When you land back to the tip of the tree, drop a freezing trap (Yes, he can be trapped!) and then tame.

Easier way to do it is that once the beast come close to the mountain range, concuss him then use disengae(but make sure u r in a range so that it will land u in the mountain) drop ur freezing trap, and taming him!! you have your rare elite pet!!
