Hunter Macros
I have been searching for useful macros for my MM hunter and have been re-writing some of them to suite my needs. Here are the macros I use to somewhat efficiently use all the skills and not forget to use them during a fight. The power up macro essentially use all the skills that do not have casting time during the beginning of a fight. You can rotate it again once the cooldowns are done.
After the power up, hit the Chimaera Shot next or use Black Arrow then Explosive shot for SV spec . The Serpent Sting’s damage should add up.
The killshot is useful to gain the free damage done by the Silencing Shot (will be nerf in cataclysm though), I also use this to cast the Kill Shot once it’s activated, as well as command the pet to attack. All in one click.
The melee macro is useful to disengage from an enemy, while leaving him with a wingclip and let your pet attack at the same time.
Power Up :
#showtooltip Powerup
/cast Call of the Wild
/cast Rapid fire
/cast Serpent Sting
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
Killshot :
#showtooltip KillShot
/petattack
/cast Silencing Shot
/cast Kill Shot
Melee / Disengage:
#showtooltip Disengage
/cast wing clip
/cast disengage
/petattack
Update:
Additional macros in my arsenal, helps a bunch in switching aspect on the fly, especially in Cataclysm where fights are dynamic compared to WotLK. The Tranq shot and the Wyvern sting are useful for enraged mobs and crowd control without switching from your current target.
All in one Aspects and Hunter’s Mark Button:
#showtooltip Aspects Mark
/cast [nomodifier] Aspect of the Hawk
/cast [nomodifier] Aspect of the Fox
/cast [nomodifier] Hunter’s Mark
/cast [mod:shift] Aspect of the Cheetah
/cast [mod:shift] Aspect of the Pack
Tranquilizing Shot:
#showtooltip Tranquilizing Shot
/cast [@mouseover, harm][harm] Tranquilizing Shot
Wyvern Sting:
#showtooltip Tranquilizing Shot
/cast [@mouseover, harm][harm] Wyvern Sting
Enjoy !

i always thought you just make a new macro and in the window you type
/ cast Aspeck of the Hawk …but, that doesn’t work

@song don’t put a space between / and cast, also aspect of the hawk not aspeck. wrong spellings won’t make things work.
